With the recent scorching heat waves this year, any rain was a welcome much needed friend and a cause for celebration. A seasonal inspired painting as the sweetcorn moves closer to its harvest time in Autumn. Is the post-lunch nap the sweetest one of all? I think this little mouse will agree with his belly full of ripe sweetcorn, tucked away in deep sleep his green leaf.

A love letter to home. This is an original block print of Three Cliffs in South Wales. This was a very special piece to create as I was raised in South Wales. The original drawing was made from a camping trip to Three Cliffs during a gloriously hot summer, so much so, it felt tropical. It is a great example of just how beautiful Wales is and how healing the coast can be.

Matilda is the name of my cat (named after Roald Dahl’s book character) who is the main feature in this block print. This is a based on a view I would see daily in a pervious home. Though this home was in a bit of a grim town, the view of the trees and watching my kitten grow into a cat sitting on my art box daily to watch the garden below was so comforting and warming. This view struck me more so on a snowy day, when everything is so peaceful. Here is Matilda, fascinated by the snow, watching a Robin in the tree.
